Prambanan Temple is extraordinarily beautiful building built in the 10th centuryduring the rule of the two Kings, Rakai Pikatan and Rakai Balitung. Soaring up to 47 ft(5 meters higher than Borobudur Temple), the Foundation of this temple has fulfilledthe wish maker, demonstrated the triumph of Hinduism in Java. The temple is located17 kilometers from the city center, in the middle of the area that is now built the beautiful grounds.
There is a legend that Javanese people always told about this temple. Once, a man named Bandung Bondowoso who loved Roro Jonggrang. Prambanan Temple has three main temple on the main page, namely Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The third Temple is the epitome of Trimurti in Hindu belief. The thirdTemple is facing East. Each main temple has accompanying Temple facing to the West,namely Nandini for Shiva, Angsa for Brahma, and Garuda for Vishnu. In addition, there are still 2 candi apit, 4 kelir temples and 4 corner temples. Meanwhile, the second page has 224 temples.
