Jayawijaya peak or commonly known with the Carstensz Peak is the only mountain topin Indonesia which has a snow cover. These peaks soaring up over 5,000 meters abovesea level. Jayawijaya peak was first conquered by a Netherlands Explorer named Hendrik AlbertLorentz in 1909. Lorentz managed to climb the snowy peaks along the six people thatthe induction of Kenyah Dayak tribe in Borneo. After the successful ascent, manyclimbers who followed in the footsteps of Lorentz to conquer the Summit ofJayawijaya.
